Popular 1920's Jazz Bands - Encore 7 includes selections
from several jazz bands from the mid to late 1920's.
Many of these selections contain hot jazz solos.
Several were popular hotel orchestras and a few were used on the radio.
Some of the bands on this volume were using alias name and
were assembled in the studio for recordings.

 

There are some excellent jazz band arrangements in this volume.

The Missouri Jazz Band was a recording pseudonym for Adrian Schubert's Orchestra.

His organization included a talented group of players.
A list that included trumpeter Mike Mosiello, trombonist Tommy Dorsey, saxophonist Jimmy Dorsey, clarinetist Benny Goodman, multi-instrumentalist Andy Sannella, percussion virtuoso George Hamilton Green, and violinist Scrappy Lambert.

There are many hot solos in these tracks.

His band included Howard Scott, Coleman Hawkins, Louis Armstrong, Charlie Dixon, Kaiser Marshall, Buster Bailey, Elmer Chambers, Charlie Green, Ralph Escudero
